History

Immanuel Primary has a wonderful history

Since 1970, when Immanuel Primary School was established as the first Lutheran primary school in the western suburbs of Adelaide, it has continued to build strong foundations for life for many young children.

Timeline
1970Immanuel Primary School was established at Novar Gardens on the site of Immanuel College with the pioneering Principal Mr Garry Matuschka, with 76 students in a weatherboard classroom.
1973The first permanent building opened
1974A multipurpose / art room and covered way was constructed
1995The two-storey building called “The Ship of Learning” is built, which included a music suite enabling the music program to flourish.
1998The Front Office Administration building was opened.
2000Auditorium constructed and officially opened in 2001.
2001
Reception Learning Centre opened.
2011
Early Learning Centre opened.
2017Agile learning spaces completed
2017 Year 1/2 Playground Opened
2018Year 5/6 New Agile Classrooms
