Year 6 Students use their Voices to Campaign, Innovate and Invent

The Central Idea for the IPS Exhibition was, “People use their passion and expertise to make a positive difference.”

For 7 weeks in Term 3 & 4, the students have been inquiring into the UN Global Goals for Sustainable Development. They spent time really thinking about what they were passionate about and then selected a Goal to inquire deeply into. Students worked in collaborative teams and drove their own inquiries. Throughout their inquiry students demonstrated many skills including communication, time management, questioning and reflecting.

The culmination of this process was the sharing of their learning at exhibits in November. Our Year 6 students were quite simply outstanding as they advocated and shared their new understandings and passion for change with students, staff, families and the wider community. Visitors to the exhibits commented on how knowledgeable, articulate and passionate the students were about their inquiries. We are very proud of each and every student and hope that they continue to push for what they believe in.

A big thank you to everyone who supported the students throughout this process.
