Parents and Friends

Our Grandparents and Special Friends made the children’s smiles shine bright all day!

Grandparents and Special Friends Day is always a memorable day for our students and their visitors. For many of our students it is the highlight of the year. It is beautiful witnessing the special bond between grandparents and grandchildren. Last Friday, Week 6, Term 3, was filled with laughter, appreciation, respect and pure joy. The bringing together of people who care so much for each other.

Our visitors began the day with a special welcome and concert held in the Immanuel College Chapel. Year 6 Student Leaders with the support of our Reception students (via video) shared ways that they were building the new IPS foundations of respect, flourish and serve. This was followed with our orchestra and choirs entertaining the large audience and showcasing their outstanding talents. Thank you to Peter Habib and Cathy Travaglione for your ongoing development of our music students.

Special time was then spent in the classrooms with lots of excitement as students shared their learning with loved ones.

Your generous contributions from Year 5 Cake Stall and the Raffle has enabled the school to forward $1500.00 to support the work of ALWS and will assist our farmers in need.

Quiz Night or Dance Party?

The P & F Rockit Quiz Night was both a quiz night and a dance party. What a fun night of entertainment for all who took part. Table groups went all out to dress for the occasion with the auditorium looking a bit like a ‘KISS Convention’.

We were challenged by our host for the night Robbie B, who played music hits from all eras, to name that tune or theartist. His sidekick added to the fun handing out prizes of vegemite, tissues and cheezels.

Half time activities enabled parents and friends to test their skills or just catch up with each other for a chat.

The evening concluded with Robbie B as DJ playing tunes that got everyone up on the floor dancing. A fantastic fun night that everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
