A Significant Ceremony for our Year 6 Students

A very special ceremony evening to celebrate the End of Primary Schooling for our 84 Year 6 students. It was an evening of special significance. A night where we took time to stop, reflect, celebrate and  farewell.

An emotional yet uplifting ceremony as we shared the learning journey of these remarkable students over the past 8 years. Many of these students were the inaugural students of the Early Learning Centre that opened in 2011. No one else will ever hold this honour. A beautiful pictorial video shared so much of what our students had achieved celebrating each student’s talents.

Their teachers Mr Nathan Berry, Mrs Holly Fouyaxis and Mrs Kristy Williams (and Mrs Emma Brooks Term 4) also shared how much they have enjoyed working with and getting to know each student and the manner in which they embraced school life.

We congratulate our leaving Year 6 students who have shown themselves to be exemplary leaders, wonderful and caring role models to their buddies and younger students, passionate advocates for many causes close to their hearts and students with a genuine servant heart. We will certainly miss their unique personalities and they way they have demonstrated the school values of Respect, Flourish and Serve.

During the evening our students thanked their parents for all their support and encouragement over their years at Immanuel with a personal letter, for it is this partnership between home and school that enable our students to thrive.

In their personal reflections they wrote about how much being a student at Immanuel meant to them and how much they will miss their friends, the staff and this community.

So on behalf of the school community I want to thank each of them for their contribution to life at IPS.  So many brought positive attitudes to school with a bright and happy smile each day.

God has great plans for you and your life.  You can go forward next year into Year 7 with great confidence.  You have the foundations for life and the promise and assurance from God when he says ‘I am with you.  Do not be afraid.  I have plans for you to give you a future and hope’.
